Blacklists are databases of IP addresses and domains known for sending spam. When you send emails, receiving mail servers check these lists in real time. If your domain or IP appears on a blacklist, your emails get blocked or automatically filtered to the spam folder. Bextrad monitors over 100 blacklists and alerts you instantly if your domain is listed.
A hard bounce is a permanent delivery failure — the email address does not exist, is invalid, or the domain does not accept mail. A soft bounce is a temporary failure — the mailbox is full, the server is temporarily down, or the message is too large. Hard bounces should be removed from your list immediately. Soft bounces can be retried later.
An MX (Mail Exchange) lookup queries the DNS to find which mail servers are responsible for receiving email on behalf of a domain. If a domain has no MX records, it cannot receive email at all. Bextrad checks MX records as part of every email verification to confirm the domain is properly configured to accept mail.
